Yes, every plan has 24-hour service and will cover a hotel stay if necessary. We’ll be there to help when you need it most. All of that information will be detailed in the plan documents you receive after enrolling.

What is a home protection plan, and how does it differ from homeowner's insurance?

Our protection plans cover the repair or replacement of major home systems and appliances that break down from everyday use. Homeowners insurance typically covers damages caused by unexpected events like fire, theft, or natural disasters.

What items are typically covered under a home protection plan?

Our protection plans cover the essential systems and items that you need most like HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), plumbing, electrical, as well as household appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, and more. Coverage can vary between Good, Really Good, Super Good, or Ultimate plans.

Can I choose my own service provider for repairs covered by the  home protection plan?

We have a nationwide network of licensed service providers that are trusted to perform your repairs. In most cases, we will assign a service technician from our network to handle covered repairs. However, you may request to use your preferred provider, but it’s something you should discuss with your VIP support rep.

How long does home coverage last?

Our default coverage term is 4 years, but every plan can be customized to suit your needs and home.

How much does a home warranty cost?

Every home has different needs as does every person. And, the cost of a home plan will vary based on the level of coverage, location, and age of your home. We have plans starting as low as $99/month but the easiest thing to do is pick up the phone and call the VIP support line to explore your options.
